Mujeeb Ur Rahman Zadran is an Afghan cricketer, who plays for the Afghanistan national cricket team.
Early life:
His uncle, Noor Ali Zadran, along with his cousin Ibrahim Zadran, are also Afghan international cricketers.
Domestic Career:
- List A debut: for Speen Ghar Region in the 2017 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament on 10 August 2017
- Twenty20 debut: for Boost Defenders in the 2017 Shpageeza Cricket League on 11 September 2017
On 30 December 2020, in the 2020–21 Big Bash League season, he took his first five-wicket haul in T20 cricket, with 5 for 15 for the Brisbane Heat against the Hobart Hurricanes.
International Career:
- ODI debut: for Afghanistan against Ireland on 5 December 2017
- First class cricket debut: for Afghanistan against India in June 2018
- Twenty20 International (T20I) debut: for Afghanistan against Zimbabwe on 5 February 2018
- Test debut: for Afghanistan against India, on 14 June 2018
Major Achievements:
- Two months after his international debut, at the age of 16 years and 325 days, he became the youngest player to take a five-wicket haul in a One Day International.
- On 8 April 2018, at the age of 17 years and 11 days, he became the youngest cricketer to play in the Indian Premier League.
- He was the leading wicket-taker in the 2017 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup with twenty wickets in five matches that helped Afghanistan win their maiden ACC Under-19 Cup title.
- He became the youngest player ever to take an ODI five-wicket haul and was named the man of the match.
