Arshad Khan is an Indian cricketer who plays for Madhya Pradesh in domestic cricket and Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League.
Early life:
Arshad started his cricketing journey in his formative years and he received his initial coaching from his father Ashfaque who was a coach with the Seoni District Cricket Association. At the age of just 14, the left-handed bowler made it into the U – 16 team of Madhya Pradesh and three years later broke into the Under – 19 side. After a couple of breakthrough displays, he earned a place on the Under – 23 side in the 2017 – 18 season.
Domestic Career:
- List A debut: on 24 February 2021, for Madhya Pradesh in the 2020 – 2021 Vijay Hazare Trophy
- T20 debut: for Mumbai Indians in 2023 Indian Premier League, against Royal Challengers Bangalore on 2 April 2023
In IPL 2022, Mumbai Indians signed Kumar Kartikeya to replace Arshad Khan due to injuries. However, in 2023, he retained his place in the side despite an injury setback last season.
