Shivam Dube is a very talented Indian cricketer. He plays for Mumbai in domestic cricket and Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. Born in Mumbai on 26th June 1993– Dube is a talented all-rounder with the necessary temperament and skillset. He succeeds at the game’s highest level. He bats in the middle order with some explosive hits under his sleeve. He also being a useful seam bowler for the middle overs.

Dube’s rise to prominence is an inspiring story. He started playing cricket at a young age. However, he had to temporarily stop playing when he was just 14 due to financial and fitness issues. However, he never lost his passion for the game. Finally, he found a way to make a comeback after almost a five-year gap. He is battling health and fitness issues. At the age of 19, he was selected for the Mumbai Under-23 team. Ever since he has been playing professional cricket since then.

Dube made his Twenty20 debut for Mumbai during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in January 2016. The next year, he made his List A debut in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He first caught the public’s attention after smashing five sixes in one over. This is on the final day of a Ranji Trophy match against Baroda in 2018.

His impressive performances in the domestic circuit earned him a contract with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He took home a whopping Rs 5 crore in 2019. However, he remained for the Bangalore-based franchise for two years before Rajasthan Royals picked him up in 2021. After playing just one season with them, Dube was bought by Chennai Super Kings in 2022. Even since he has been a part of the squad.

Dube has been a part of the national set-up as well. Although he is not yet a regular player. He made his Twenty20 International debut against Bangladesh in October 2019.
