Prashant Solanki

Prashant Solanki was born on February 22, 2000. He is an Indian cricket player who plays for Mumbai in domestic cricket. Now, he plays for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. Solanki is a right-arm leg spinner. He relies on his wrist spin bowling. He is known for his impressive variation of pace in the air. His bowling trick, such as the googly helps him alot. Solanki began his professional career in 2021-22 with Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. In his debut game, he recorded a five-wicket haul. He was subsequently selected for the Mumbai squad for the 2021-22 season of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Here, in this tournament, he continued to impress.

Solanki’s strong performances caught the attention of teams during the IPL 2022 auction. Despite being an uncapped Indian player with a base price of Rs 20 lakhs, a bidding war between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings. However, he finally saw his final price settle at Rs 1.2 crores. Chennai Super Kings had previously been impressed with Solanki’s abilities. He served as a net bowler for them in 2021, and they signed him ahead of the 2022 IPL. Although Solanki only played two games in his debut campaign and took just two wickets, he has been retained by Chennai Super Kings for the 2023 edition.
