Rajvardhan Hargargekar

The birthdate of Rajvardhan Hangargekar is November 10, 2002. He is a young Maharashtrian cricket player who plays for both his home team and the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. Hangargekar is renowned for his quick bowling and forceful middle-order batting approach.

Playing for the Indian Under-19 team in the Under-19 T20I World Cup 2022 in Trinidad and Tobago, he first came to notice. He hit three consecutive sixes against Ireland in their Group B match. India won the tournament, with Hangargekar playing a key role. He showed himself to be a competent bowler and batter. He took five wickets and scored valuable runs while batting low down the order.

Due to his outstanding performance in the World Cup, there was a bidding war for Hangargekar’s inclusion in the IPL. Despite his base price of Rs 30 lakhs, Mumbai Indians, Lucknow Super Giants, and Chennai all competed for him. But in the end, CSK was able to purchase him for a whopping Rs 1.5 crore. Because of these, he could be a player to watch in the future.

Hangargekar’s name has also been in the news for unrelated reasons. Maharashtra’s Commissioner of Sports and Youth Department– Omprakash Bakoria– charged the U-19 World Cup star with age-bending in 2022. But subsequently, the BCCI exonerated him of all charges.
