The alleged salary slab for a retained uncapped player is Rs. 4 Crore. The organization will deduct their salaries from the total purse, valued at Rs. 120 Crore. Though the number of retained players will not exceed 6. The rules will be applicable to all 10 franchises. Who bids the highest will get one extra and final opportunity to raise the bid before the team holding the RTM card can proceed.

RTM

RTM- Right To Match is a card that allows a franchise to retain a player while bidding high during the auction of IPL.

New Clause

The council that governs BCCI and IPL has finalized a new clause- If a team uses the RTM card, they further get the option to raise the bid and have a compulsion to pay the amount in context to retain a player.

Venue

According to the media sources, the IPL 2025 Auction will take place outside the country. India will not be the venue. Likewise the IPL 2024 mini auction. The expected venue is the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

TV Channel And Streaming

The live telecast of the IPL 2025 Mega Auction will air on Star Sports, while Jio Cinema will stream the IPL, including the IPL Mega Auction 2025, until 2027.
