Lalit Yadav is an Indian cricketer.
Early life:
Born and brought up in the same locality as Indian cricketer icon Virender Sehwag, Lalit is a self-professed fan of the former opener. Lalit Yadav’s father’s name is Zile Singh Yadav, and he has an elder brother Arun Yadav.
Domestic Career:
- First – class debut: for Delhi in the 2017 – 18 Ranji Trophy on 17 November 2017
- Twenty20 debut: for Delhi in the 2017 – 18 Zonal T20 League on 9 January 2018
- List A debut: for Delhi in the 2017 – 18 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 15 February 2018
- Later the same month, in the 2021 – 22 Ranji Trophy, Yadav scored his maiden century in first – class cricket, with 177 runs against Tamil Nadu.
- The all-rounder was fast-tracked into the Delhi domestic team after hitting 6 sixes in an over twice.
- He first achieved the feat while playing for his local team sporting club at Najafgarh sports complex.
- He then did it again during the DDCA t20 league at the Feroz Shah Kotla (currently known as Arun Jaitley Stadium).
Indian Premier League (IPL) T20 Franchise Career:
- In the 2020 IPL auction, he was bought by the Delhi Capitals ahead of the 2020 Indian Premier League.
- In February 2022, he was again bought by the Delhi Capitals in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League tournament.
Major Achievements:
- Later the same month, in the 2021 – 22 Ranji Trophy, Yadav scored his maiden century in first – class cricket, with 177 runs against Tamil Nadu.
