Shams Mulani is an Indian cricketer born on March 13, 1997. He plays for Mumbai in domestic cricket and Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League. Shams is a slow left-arm orthodox bowler. Sometimes, he is quite a useful lower-order batsman. He started playing in several age-group tournaments for Mumbai. Even though, he remains one of their best players.

After impressing in the youth ranks, Shams broke into the senior squad in the 2017/18 T20 Zonal League. He also made his List A debut in the Vijay Hazare Trophy that same season. Shams got a chance to play for the national squad at the Emerging Asia Cup in Sri Lanka in December 2018. He has a special quality in shorter formats. Furthermore, he is impressive performances helped him get included in IPL.

Shams was picked by Delhi Daredevils as a replacement for Axar Patel. Unfortunately, he did not get to play any games and was released from the team. However, he continued to make progress in the domestic ranks.

In the 2021-22 Ranji Trophy, Shams was one of the best players for Mumbai. Here he became their highest wicket-taker that season. He also won the 2022 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy with Mumbai. As a result of this impressive display, Mumbai Indians selected him in the IPL auction ahead of IPL 2023.
