Companies which gained Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s love

Prime Sports is not the only company which gained Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s love and appreciation. Owner of Beat All Sports (BAS), Somi Kohli revealed that this ex – India captain did not charge a penny to advertise the BAS logo during his 2019 World Cup match. According to starpunternews team, BAS is one of India’s biggest sports manufacturing companies and the company which sponsored Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s first kit ever.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni wore BAS and SS stickers on his bat all through the tournament. This event marked MS’ final outing in the Indian colors. BAS owner Kohli also added before the World Cup took place, Mahendra Singh Dhoni refused all monetary gifts involved and only did the advertisement out of goodwill.

According to an interview with Sports Launchpad, Kohli’s words to describe the situation were as follows.

“Dhoni did not mention any money. He just said ‘put your stickers on my bats and send them across’. I tried to convince him, ‘You’re letting go of such a lucrative contract’. He let go of crores of rupees worth of contract. I requested his wife Sakshi, his father, mother. Even told his CA and Paramjit from Ranchi. They all went to his home before the World Cup. But he said ‘No… it is my decision’.”

Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s and BAS’ owner Kohli’s relationship goes way back to 1998. When Kohli was looking for a promising young talent 25 years ago, he found Mahendra Singh Dhoni, trusted him and sent his kits to him. However, they did not get the chance to meet until 6 years later. This was in 2004, the same year when Mahendra Singh Dhoni made his debut in Team India.
